AdvocateAdvocate, the bimonthly newsletter of the Utah Down Syndrome Foundation, is published as a service to Utah families of people who have Down syndrome. The purpose of this publication is to bring together parents, families, professionals, and others interested in Down syndrome in an attempt to create a positive outlook on Down syndrome; to provide positive public awareness and education on issues surrounding Down syndrome; and highlight UDSF chapter activities and events for people with Down syndrome.

 
Submissions are encouraged to:
1) spotlight outstanding achievement or special recognition of individuals with Down syndrome
2) to disseminate information on topics such as current Down syndrome research, medical issues, educational issues, therapies, and social issues affecting people with Down syndrome, although the Advocate does not necessarily endorse or recommend any specific therapies, treatments, products, or services.
 
For 2010, the Advocate will be an online publication only. 
 
We continue to encourage families to submit stories, articles, pictures and other information of interest to advocate@udsf.org.
