Start a Community Group

Community Groups are one way that UDSF provides support to individuals with Down syndrome and to their parents and families.  Through activities and educational events, people are able to learn together and support each other in a smaller group setting.  UDSF currently sponsors two types of community groups.  Groups may be established by location (for convenience) or by age.  Community Groups supported by UDSF are not exclusive and are open to all individuals with DS and their families.

If you are interested in starting a group based on location in an area where the Foundation does not currently have a Community Group, please contact us at info@udsf.org.

UDSF has a state-wide Community Group for Young Adults/Adults (age 16 and over).  They meet for dinner and dances occasionally during the year.  There is also an active Young Adult Community Group in Utah County which meets regularly.  However, the young adult/adult population needs increased support as this age group continues to grow, and we would like to expand activities and events for this group.  If you would be willing to organize, or help with, this type of Community Group, please contact us at info@udsf.org.
