Teen/Adult Activities

In 2015 we are planning the following activities for all teens 16 years and old and adults with Down syndrome.  We are planning on a Winter/Spring Dance and the BYU Buddies-UDSF Halloween Dance.  In addition, we are hoping to plan a day long activity/conference for this age group.  If you are interested in helping, please contact us at youngadult@udsf.org.

For those of you in Utah county and surrounding areas, we would like to let you know about a monthly activity we would love for you to get involved in.  Here is the information from Brenda Winegar:

The UT County Game night is on the 2nd Friday of each month.  We gather at Kids on the Move  (on the Orem Community Hospital grounds)  4th west and 4th North in Orem.  We meet at 7:00 P.M. and end at 8:30.  It is a nice night out for parents and a great time for our young people to get together and enjoy some new friendships.  We meet each 2nd Friday of the month.

We play board games, music games and all around fun activities that promote good social interactions and good manners.  We would love to have a few new people to add to our group.  We love having older brothers and sisters to add some variety to our group.  We always like having volunteers!

Brenda would be happy to share ideas for people who would like to start a similar activity in their area.
