June 6, 2020 - St George Milestone Live Recording
In response to COVID-19, UDSF is adding a virtual walk to the Mighty Steps for Down Syndrome walk this year. Participants will count steps as teams and walk across the state of Utah. Along the way, we will learn about the diverse areas of our state and meet the beautiful families who live there.
Purpose of the Virtual Walk
COVID-19 permitting, UDSF will hold its regular walks, now called "Victory Laps." Your registration for the virtual walk includes your entrance into the victory lap of your choice:
- Cache County - American West Heritage Center - Saturday, September 26, 2020
- Salt Lake - Rio Tinto Stadium - Saturday, August 29, 2020
- St. George - Thunder Junction All Abilities Park - October 24, 2020
- Victory Lap - If you can't make the in-person walks. Date TBD
In case in-person victory laps are canceled (due to COVID-19), all registrants will join the virtual victory lap.
How Will the Virtual Walk Work?
Registration is now open!
The walk begins on June 1, 2020. However, early bird pricing is open until June 17th. You can join the virtual walk anytime, but don't wait too long or you will miss out on the awesome parts! During the virtual walk, there will be weekly drawings for fundraising and walking incentives. At the conclusion of the virtual walk, there will be a grand prize for the highest fundraising team and for the biggest team. The walk ends on August 21 with in-person victory laps (COVID-19 permitting) in St George, Salt Lake, and Logan.
YOUR IMPACT: UDSF does not receive government grants, but relies on your donations and fundraising dollars!
Together we can make a difference!
