What is GivingTuesday?

A Global Generosity Movement | December 03, 2019

GivingTuesday, also known on social media as #GivingTuesday, is traditionally held on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving -- this year,  December 3, 2019. The GivingTuesday movement, which started in 2012, is an international day of charitable giving that comes at the beginning of the Christmas and holiday season.

On December 3, 2019, join UDSF in the #GivingTuesday movement and GIVE by sharing your story, voting for a story, and/or giving a gift!  The #GivingTuesday organization is hosting a contest called MYGIVINGSTORY.  The nonprofit that has the most stories submitted by December 3, 2019 will be awarded valuable grant money. In addition, the top 20 stories with the most votes can win grant money up to $10,000 for their favorite nonprofit, which of course is UDSF.  Win or lose, UDSF would like to collect your stories to post on this website to give hope and inspiration to others in our UDSF community.
